Alleva Coppolo LG5 Classic Supreme
This is a truly special instrument, and I’ll be upfront – the price reflects its absolute rarity. This is the Alleva Coppolo LG5 Classic Supreme, and it might be one of the most mind-blowing basses I’ve ever had the privilege to offer. At first glance, it looks like a classic Olympic White Fender, but under the hood, this is a masterpiece of boutique engineering and rare materials.
The CNL Brazilian Rosewood Factor:
The standout feature of this bass is the fingerboard. It is what Jimmy Coppolo calls CNL, a rare crossbreed between two types of Brazilian Rosewood (Dalbergia nigra and Dalbergia spruceana). Jimmy has officially run out of this material, meaning this is likely the last CNL fingerboard to ever come out of his workshop. The warmth, richness, and clarity this wood provides is immediately noticeable compared to any other LG5.
