Description
MTD Saratoga 5-String – NAMM 2026 Showpiece – Ruby Red Flamed Sycamore
A Boutique Masterpiece from the 2026 NAMM Show!
The MTD Saratoga is Michael Tobias’s modern take on a classic silhouette, and this specific 5-string was hand-selected to represent the brand at the 2026 NAMM Show. Featuring a rare and visually stunning Solid Flamed Sycamore body finished in a deep, lush Ruby Red, this bass is as much a work of art as it is a professional-grade tool.
Tone & Electronics: “The Saratoga on Steroids”
Unlike standard Saratogas, this showpiece features Custom Bartolini P25 Dual Coil pickups wired in SERIES. This custom configuration provides a thicker, punchier, and more aggressive output that cuts through any mix with authority. Coupled with a 3-band EQ and a 3-position mid-switch, you have total tonal command.
Premium Wood Selection
Michael Tobias didn’t hold back on the wood for this one. The body is solid flamed sycamore—rarely seen and highly figured—front, back, and sides. It is paired with an Ash neck and a Roasted Birdseye Maple fingerboard for a snap and clarity that complements the “Series” wired electronics perfectly.
